Dear friends and fellow yogis,

I hope this message finds you well.

With all the recent excitement around generative AI, I felt inspired to explore it myself, which led me to create two new web pages that I’d like to share with you today. While I did a small amount of coding, the generative AI wrote most of the code for both pages.

Here they are:

Krishna AI

This tool offers two ways to explore the Bhagavad Gita. First, it presents all verses from every chapter, complete with translations and “Krishna perspective” insights in both English and Japanese. It also features an interactive chat page where you can ask questions and receive answers from Krishna’s perspective, supported by relevant verses.

Sutra Insights

This page presents the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali with translations in both English and Japanese. It also offers deeper insights into each sutra, composed by the AI acting as a yoga philosophy expert.

What began as a simple tech experiment has turned into something much more meaningful. I initially imagined this would be a hands-off project. However, although the translations and insights are currently AI-generated, the process has given me a wonderful opportunity to reread these sacred texts. In doing so, I’ve realized I’m learning them all over again. It has become a new and unexpected part of my modern yoga practice — a form of Svadhyaya (self-study).

As a note on the development process, Krishna AI was initially set up to generate translations and insights each time a verse was opened. While this was useful for testing, it created a significant server load, making it impractical to go public. As a result, I decided to store the generated content instead. The dynamic generation feature is still implemented but is now hidden in the background.

Although some translations in both English and Japanese may sound slightly unnatural, they are generally sufficient to convey the basic meaning of each verse or sutra.

At the moment, Krishna AI is still in its early stages and will benefit from further fine-tuning. As I continue to work with the AI and deepen my study of the Gita, the tool will gradually begin to reflect my own understanding and interpretation. This process itself has become a sincere aspect of my personal practice.

The same applies to Sutra Insights. My next step is to carefully review, refine, and update the AI-generated translations and insights to ensure they are accurate and resonant. What I initially saw as a simple project has grown into a meaningful commitment to my own learning and yoga journey.

Please feel free to explore both tools and share them with anyone who might be interested.

I warmly welcome any feedback or reflections you may have. Your insights would be greatly appreciated as I continue to develop these resources.

With love and gratitude,

Aiki
